Upbringing and Education

Pharrell grew up in a middle-class family with his parents, Carolyn and Pharoah Williams, and his three siblings. His parents encouraged his love for music from an early age, and he began playing the drums in elementary school.

In 2003, Pharrell released his debut solo album, “The Neptunes Present… Clones,” featuring the hit single “Frontin’.” He continued to release successful albums, including “In My Mind” (2006) and “G I R L” (2014).

Pharrell has collaborated with numerous artists, producing hits like Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” and Ed Sheeran’s “Sing.” He has won 13 Grammy Awards and has been nominated for over 30.

Pharrell has also pursued an acting career, appearing in films and television shows such as:
