Top White Sororities

While the National Pan-Hellenic Conference (NPHC) specifically oversees historically Black sororities and fraternities, there are also three predominantly white sororities that are often considered the “top 3” on many college campuses. These are:

* Kappa Alpha Theta: Founded in 1870 at DePauw University, Kappa Alpha Theta prides itself on being the first women’s fraternity. Their values center around leadership, service, and personal excellence. They have a strong emphasis on academic achievement and often have high GPA requirements for membership. They also promote a strong sense of sisterhood and community involvement.

* Delta Delta Delta: Also known as Tri Delta, this sorority was founded in 1888 at Boston University. Tri Delta emphasizes high ideals, personal development, and selfless service. They have a strong focus on philanthropy and support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They value intellectual growth and encourage their members to be well-rounded individuals.

* Alpha Phi: Founded in 1872 at Syracuse University, Alpha Phi values sisterhood, leadership, and character development. They have a strong focus on community service and support women’s heart health. They encourage their members to be involved in campus life and to make a positive impact on the world.

Academics:
* All three sororities place a high value on academic achievement and often have study hours, tutoring programs, and academic support resources available to their members.
* They often have higher average GPAs than the overall student body.
* They encourage their members to pursue their academic goals and provide support for their success.

Membership:
